over the river and through the woods
ryan and i decided to run up to the mountains last friday, since he had never hiked all the way across to the waterfall, and we had nothing better to do on a beautiful friday afternoon. as expected, the waterfall was not as large as it was after the rainy season a couple months back, and the stream had noticably dried up. the bugs were out in full force– i spent half my energy swatting them away from me.
but… on the way back, we saw tons of yucca plants blooming… and…. a deer. actually, it was female, so we saw a doe. of course, this prompted ryan to sing, “doe, a deer, a female deer…” and continue with the song as we drove down the mountain.
i took ryan out to the indonesian restaurant for dinner, where we found out that in order to make any indonesian dessert, you need ice and condensed milk. es avacado? es teh? es chicken?
