UCLA FP conference

on saturday, we went to the CAFP conference for med students and residents over at UCLA. it was fun filled day of lectures, suturing sponges, and free pens. a bee/wasp/ugly thing wouldn’t leave us alone, and landed on my sandwich about 4 times before refusing to get off of it and thoroughly grossing me out. i stuck to the pasta and potatoes. below, william and steven suturing.
steven and william so proud

the day ended with indonesian food (yum!) at the indocafe and a long, traffic-filled drive home [i missed most of it, i fell asleep]. i’ve got plenty of new pens/highlighters/flashing lights/squishy balls to give away now, so if you want one, just come visit!

yes. suturing is pretty much sewing up people… but my friends wouldn’t let me cut them up and sew them back together, so i was left with a sponge. of course, mine ended up looking like frankenstein– perfect for halloween.
