smell that? that’s south coast.

maggie and i trekked down to south coast plaza on saturday for some shopping and lunchy at vie de france. it was good to be home. we braved the nordstrom anniversary sale, the shoe racks at macy’s, and waded thru the masses of beautiful people with their beautiful bags.

i miss it already.

later that afternoon, ryan and i made our way to the valley for jenny and amy’s birthday foodfest. happy birthday jenny! happy birthday amy!

yesterday, we drove to westminster to check out possible restaurants for the reception. our first stop: grand garden. apparently, there’s no garden, and it’s really not grand. we didn’t even stay long enough to taste the food– the manager of the place was so incredibly rude that we just put our menus down and left. stupid cocky little asian man. bah!

our next restaurant was better, though! free food tasting, cake, nice happy asian lady (who i swear is the asian martha stewart. it’s a good thing.), and some so-bad-it’s-good karaoke made the night just absolutely fabulous. annie and i took home bunches of peach-coloured long stem roses. mmmmmm.

and… the most exciting news of all… annie bought me an ipod! woo hoo! i’ll just have to wait about 3 days for it to arrive from singapore or whatever happy sweat shop that does the laser engraving. ahhhhhhhh!
