the family photo shoot.
the family photo shoot.
the makeup/hair lady only slathered on 4 or 5 layers of foundation/bronzer/powder onto my face before making my eyes and lips up so darkly that i looked like a drag queen. if that weren’t enough, she pulled my hair back so tightly that i was afraid that my scalp would come off– and proceded to clip on a large fake hairpiece to my ponytail. oy. it was a good thing that annie and i decided against having our hair up for the pictures– with the ponytail out and my hair down i looked happier, more kim, less ru paul.
the photographer played happy french music during the shoot until a certain [biddy biddy bap] song caused annie and i to burst out into uncontrollable laughter. i’m very interested in seeing how those photos turned out.
a tofu-veggie dinner, jasmine milk tea, miss universe pagent, and 1 hour drive later, i was finally home. it took 15 minutes of scrubbing and an intensive facial mask to remove the spackled on makeup– tomorrow we’ll see how long it takes to remove the hairspray.
alas! the life of a model is never easy.
ciao, dah-ling!
