yesterday: laundry [with annie], tennis [with little ryan, jenny, annie, and the mom], video games [with annie and jenny], food [at jenny’s house], food [at andrew’s house], shrek 2, more food, gossip, some kind of shady tasting pumpkin pie. this year it was homemade madness. bac tram made homemade yams, green bean casserole, cornbread, artichoke dip… mmmmmmmmm. so good!
today: the mom and i woke up early and ran down to compusa to try and get me a nice PDA[the HP2215] at a nice price. unfortunately, by the time we got there, they were all sold out and were substituting a lame-o supremo one instead. we declined, and ran off to starbucks for brekkie. afterwards, we walked across the street to best buy and braved the crowds for…nothing. then, we walked a million [or 4] blocks to fry’s electronics, where we found a super cool HP iPAC [supposedly] on sale for $349. i smiled and pouted with the nice salesman and got $25 more dollars taken off the price. we then waited in a like that zigged and zagged through half the aisles in the store all the way to the back– one that put every line at disneyland and a hot summer day to shame. while my mom kept our place in line, i ran back and forth– fetching a lightbulb, then a PLATINUM [shiny!] package nintendo gamecube[with a mario cart racing game!], then an extra controller for the gamecube. finally, we paid, and made our way to the mall for some lunchy and light shopping/wandering. at the abercrombie store, we saw two models [one floppy haired and topless] posing with customers at the front of the store. wierdness. then, we went to express, where i got a FREE cashmere scarf! woo hoo!
at home, i opened up my PDA box… and to my dismay… it was… just… plain… ugly. wrong color, wrong features, no happy. so the mom searches the HP site for what may have gone wrong… and we finally figure it out. fry’s put the wrong PDA on display. AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH! so now, we’ve got to return it, and i’m back on the hunt from my HP 2215. hmmph. a big thank you to ryan and his dad for trying their luck down in san diego. too bad the only place that actually has them is in fricken encinitas. boooooooo.
bac dam, missy, jenny, mom, and i went to ken of japan for teppan and sushi. we missed annie, though. it’s just not the same without my poopy! after dinner, we plugged in the new gamecube and played games until we were exhausted. whew.
