yesterday, against my better judgement, i left one of my favorite cameras in my car…. and subsequently melted my fabulous arrow (my ONLY diana clone). AND, i’m afraid i ruined the roll of film inside there, which probably had two shots of the belligerent saxiphone player in old town. so sad!

so… now i’m on the hunt for a new one, against the advice of my pocketbook.

i think i miss it already.

today was horribly unproductive. i got into lab around 9am, but i was so sick of looking over the same structures that i just drifted off and bounced from table to table. back at the study room it was the same thing– i couldn’t stay focused. so… i ate lunchy and took a nap. i woke up and studied for a bit– trying hard to get something done… to no avail. back in lab this afternoon i got a little done during a mini mock practical and then cat and i went over some old material from the past exams. by 7pm we were exhausted and i went over to my little sushi bar for some brain food and a new environment. the sushi chefs were drunk and happy as usual– and gossiping about my cute little sister. fun fun.

my life is happily rolling along today– i did well on my mock practical (pray for the best on the real exam), my garbage disposal is fixed (so i can now use my diswasher), and i just bought jeans online that will hopefully fit me lengthwise (it sucks being short). AND, i got a ton of funky pictures of my classmates today at the pizza party. ahhh, it’s nice to be snapping away again.

of course, i have just been notified that my rent will be increasing by $20 and a spider just ran across my bedroom floor– but i don’t think i’ll let that get me down today. i just love the swish swish sounds of my dishwasher running. perhaps i’ll even put dishes in it tonight.

i am SO ready for the upcoming vacation. stay tuned for pictures of me and my jet skiing hijinks!

according to rumor, my friend regina is now engaged. so exciting! i’d been waiting for it for a while now… but it still seems unexpected. i love the gossip– it almost makes me excited to go to school tomorrow to spread the news around. i’m a dork, i know– but i have to live vicariously through these people, you know.

cat will be happy, though– she’s been wanting to go to a wedding. at least it’ll take the pressure off of me. i really can’t afford to buy jellyfish and candied walnuts for 300 people right now.

i wonder if the girls will throw another obscene bachelorette party.
i wonder what the ring looks like.
and most of all, i wonder when she’ll find time to have the ceremony. between boards and rotations… i’m interested in seeing how they juggle things.

so, i sigh and watch another friend pass over to the old married girls club… whilst i drink jupina and dance crazy with my happy little white boy.

it’s countdown to test time– 3 more days until the end of the summer school and 6 more days until the beginning of school. i think i’m just looking forward to seeing daylight again– perhaps even get a tan while running around with a pina colada in hand.

ahh… i miss running.

my air conditioner is working again! hooray for frigid air!

after a long, grueling day of testing, cat and i went out for ice cream and window shopping. strangely enough, my scoop ‘o spumoni made me feel a little better. well, better enough to run out and get my oil changed and some studying done.

my recouperation begins tomorrow at 8.

… and ends saturday at 8.

this school thing is never-ending.
