strangely enough

who ARE you? …. and do you wanna play?

i’m so very tired. i’ve been studying all day everyday for the past couple weeks and i think i’m getting burnt out. who knows whether it was a caffeine frenzy or just a bout of frustration that brought about my incoherent ramblings, loss of focus, and sprints down the halls while screaming– but i hope it goes away soon. a great big exam looms overhead, and there really isn’t a minute to waste.
so i’m searching around this song– performed by etta james or any other artist — but i can’t seem to find it anywhere. can YOU help me?
NO REGRETS
Harry Tobias / Ingraham
No regrets
Although our love affair has gone astray
No regrets
I know I’ll always care though you’re away
So now our happy romance ended suddenly
Still in my heart you’ll be forever mine
No regrets
Because somebody new looks good to you
No regrets
Sweetheart no matter what you say or do
I know our love will linger
When the other love forgets
So I say goodbye with no regrets
No regrets
Because somebody new looks good to you
No regrets
Sweetheart no matter what you say or do
I know our love will linger
When the other love forgets
So I say goodbye with no regrets
the ryan and i went to the icehouse last night– a small, sad comedy club in pasadena where the drinks are nasty and overpriced and the comedians need antidepressants. the place was unexpectedly empty– it was a friday night. the handful of patrons in the room were so drunk and giddy that they laughed every time the comedian opened his mouth– even if it was just to take a swig of his beer. a couple of the comedians were amusing– so i guess we had a good time. i’ll be looking for a more lively joint next time– perhaps one with a crowd that’s just barely old enough to drink.
sing with me!
when the day is through
i’ll suffer no regrets
i know that he who frets
loses the night!
for only a fool
thinks he can hold back the dawn
he who is wise
never tries
what’s past and gone
-devil may care
so i went over to cat’s house to study today– and ended up staying for a happy chinese family dinner. i couldn’t understand a word that they were saying– but it was fun. i ended up drinking tea and studying with cat late into the night before stumbling home tired and alone.
