more sleep!

Wednesday, March 30th, 2005 at about 8:31 am

ECM was painful– 4 hours of blah blah liver enzymes blah blah blockage neoplasm blah. i headed over to the library to study for a little while. afterwards, it was off for a nice home cooked dinner courtesy of the ryan. mmm. we watched the lakers and then i went to sleeeeeeeeep. i love sleep.

i woke up before the alarm went off today, scrubbed my bathroom ceiling, ate brekkie, and am now ready to study. yay!

food and sleep

Monday, March 28th, 2005 at about 11:10 pm

easter was fun– food all day and then a midday nap. hahahahaha. every day should be like that.

today, while grabbing desperation food (chinese takeout), the lady at the counter offered me a job. strangely enough, this isn’t the first time that i’ve been offered a job while out on a food run. the asian people are very trusting of other asian people, i think. i had to decline the job, but the offer’s up to any of my friends. extra money, anyone?

now i’m tired– i’m putting off the rest of my ECM work until tomorrow morning. blah. i have no idea what i’m doing… and i’m too tired to care. perhaps i’ll wake up in the morning and little elves will have done it all for me. while they’re at it, they can come to class and present it, too. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

the bloodmobile

Friday, March 25th, 2005 at about 11:26 am

found via boing boing:

a cute little animation about the wonders of the vascular system set to music by they might be giants. the music is so happy– i find myself humming it randomly and bobbing my head. too bad there isn’t stuff like this for boards. the class could be singing along to: the e-co-li, the e-co-li, a gram neg-a-tive rod that’s anaerob-ic! it ferments laaaaaaactose, it’s in your coooooooooolon. it can can cause UTIs and tummy aaaaaaaaaaches.

ok ok. i’ll stick to my day job.

i miss learning from sesame street.

long days

Thursday, March 24th, 2005 at about 11:24 pm

i just came back from an impromptu dinner party at a classmate’s place– food fantastico. so much for eating well this week. i think it’s time to run a few blocks. at home, i found a package on my doorstep. ryan and my first engagement/wedding/happy that you’re happy/hey look, someone found our registry present! hahahahahaha. how exciting.

the past couple weeks has been all about boards [the library is my new home], wedding planning [invitations, sites, food, cake!], GI [the many, many types and causes of diarrhea], and rotations [let the madness begin!]. so far, i have a decent schedule for the year… i just have a few holes that i’m hoping will be filled with good sites (close to home).

now, strange noises are coming from my walls. it’s a cross between a man and a car ignition that won’t start. great.

the end is near

Friday, March 18th, 2005 at about 4:28 pm

spring break has come and gone… i’ve got a couple rainy days to run errands and get ready for school again. the good thing is, we’ll be finding out about our rotations sites next week, so i’ll be able to figure out where i’m going to live and how my wedding plans are going to work out.

back to work. i have too much to study.

spriiiiiiiing break!

Monday, March 14th, 2005 at about 1:55 pm

no alarm clock, no mad rush to class, no scrambling to find lunch. i’m on SPRING BREAK! today has been all about cardiology– murmurs, subacute bacterial endocarditis, restrictive cardiomyopathy and rheumatoid arthritis, and a little tetrology of fallot.

later this week, though, i just might have to hit the beach with my flashcards. i need my vitamin D.

too tired to post

Thursday, March 10th, 2005 at about 10:05 pm

i just got back from montclair clinic today. sadly, my pap smear lady didn’t show up– but i got to do a physical on a cute little 4 year old who bounced around and laughed through the whole thing. coolio.

right now, i’m tired. and a little bit hungry… but too tired to eat. i installed my new wireless card for my PDA, and that works, so woo hoo! now, if i could just the wireless card on my ‘puter to work…

ok. that’s it. i’m going to bed.
