the birthday weekend fantastico
i ended up having a day off on friday, so i spent the day lounging around and reading about coenzyme q10 and other oddities (like MUNNY! long live MUNNY! yes, i’m obsessed).
dinner, however, was fabulous– ryan, annie and i went to toro, my long lost sushi love of loves. we gorged ourselves on roll after roll… mmm. who knew chino had good sushi?
saturday, we went to oak glen for apple picking. we started with a strange little tour of “colonial times” and the apple picking of yore. apparently, not having showers and microwaves make colonial people cranky.
an apple pie demonstration, cider making, and apple crisp eating later, we headed to the next orchard, where we ate masses of bbq and picked masses of arkansas black apples. afterwards, we stopped at another place for fresh cider and apple tasting. fuji? good. rome? not so good.
my camera came! woo! it’s tiny. it’s shiny. it has a pimpy macro function. woo! i’m all ready for the apple picking/tapas/coed nekked bowling weekend. woo! oh….and PIE. woo!
i found this article while browsing a medical journal today and immediately began to imagine a bunch of obsese dementia patients terrorizing the city.
