in the still of the morning
it’s double plus early again, and i’m wide awake. i fell asleep before 9 last night, despite my limited efforts to get up and eat pizza and fondue.
my first day on IM again was good– there’s 6 people on the team (although half are technically FP), and that meant that i only had one patient to admit, none to write notes on… for 4 hours. so… we sit around and chat, study, and take a long lunch while waiting for rounds. it reminds me of my psych rotation, especially since my patient was confused enough that she kept asking me, “what are you? what your name?” every 5 minutes.
the food at the hospital is kinda sketchy– so my classmates and i are torn between eating at the cafeteria for free every day, or running out to one of the millions of little chinese cafe/restaurants that are in the area. i have a feeling that we’ll be hitting up the nearby costco for one dolla churros and some of their other unhealthy fare.
i’m on day 3 of the constant (read: 24hours/day) upload of our wedding photos to the internet– must upload to print! it’s a little over halfway done now, and luckily, dotphoto has extended their free shipping offer for another couple days– i dont’ know if i’ll make it at this rate, but i’ll try.
