happy year of the pig, everybody! we had fun this year: meat on a stick, screaming asian people, free macaroni and cheese, and red envelopes!

I dragged the family out to back to back festivals in westminster and pasadena, watched a strange vietnamese hip-hop boy band, drank a daquiri from a hollowed out pineapple, and then drove all the way to simi to party some more.

it’s official! tram and i are on our way to guatemala for a month of learning spanish, urban medicine, and rice and beans! we might even have time to climb a volcano. we’ll see.

my upper lip swelled… again.  i took a picture, but it’s too horrendous to post.  argh.  this makes 3 times with no obvious cause.  someone help me!

it’s here! finally, a camera to test out the new (old) film i have! don’t you just love the rainbow stripe down the middle? i’ve taken two pictures so far… one so very light it looks like a sketch (pretty!) and one dark dark self portrait. scans to come sometime soon.
